Run to You Words and Music by Pentatonix arr. Kirby Shaw (b. 1941) Kanjani Dr. B.E. Boykin, Founder/Artistic Director Kirby Shaw arranged a choral version of Run to You for a capella mixed choir, focusing on the lyrical themes of perseverance and hope by quoting lyrics from the original song such as "Your story is not over. You are not a burden to anyone." This piece features a message of hope, using lines like "Hope is real. Help is real" to promote resilience.

Hope for Resolution Paul Caldwell (b. 1963) and Sean Ivory (b. 1969) The Trey Clegg Singers and Kanjani Eli Manos, piano Edith Dean, percussion Bernard Brookes, flute Written in honor of Nelson Mandela and F. W. de Klerk, Hope for Resolution intertwines a European hymn ("Of the Father's Love Begotten") with a South African Freedom Song ("Thula sizwe, ungabokhala"). The latter, sung in the Zulu language, translates "Nation, do not cry. Jehoavah will protect us. We will attain freedom." Boykin, Founder/Artistic Director The energy and drive that begins this exuberant piece with its repetitive Latin statement, Non nobis, Domine ("Not to us, O Lord"), combines new age minimalism with African American rhythms. The contrasting middle section soars effortlessly singing, "but to Your name give the glory." Internationally award-winning African American Woman Composer, Rosephanye Powell, composed this piece for young and mature voices alike.
